What we are asked most often — lead times, colours, delivery and returns. If your question is not here, just write to us.
How long does a piece take to make?
The lead time is stated on each item and starts when payment is received — depending on the piece, expect two to four weeks. There is no series production here: every piece is made one at a time in the workshop. We get in touch when production starts, and again on dispatch with the tracking number.
Do you also build to my measurements?
Yes. Custom sizes and individual adjustments are the norm here, not the exception — dimensions, colour and finish follow your specifications. Write to us with what you need; we will come back with a proposal and a price.
Which colours are available?
We offer five RAL colours as standard. Beyond those, any other RAL colour is possible on request — powder-coated, to match house, garden or corporate design. Corten steel is left uncoated and develops a surface of its own.
Does Corten steel rust all the way through?
The layer of rust is intentional. In the open air, Corten steel forms a firmly adhering protective layer that shields the material underneath. Its colour changes over months and turns out differently on every piece. This change is part of the material and is not a defect.
Do you deliver to Germany?
Yes. We deliver to France, Germany and neighbouring countries. For bulky pieces we agree the shipping route with you in advance.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are stated on each item and added up in the basket; the exact amount is shown before you place the order. Some pieces ship free of charge, while large and heavy pieces incur a fee.
Can I collect from the workshop?
Yes, collection from the workshop is possible and free of charge. We arrange the appointment with you. The workshop is in 67630 Lauterbourg in Alsace, close to the German border.
Is there a right of return on made-to-measure pieces?
There is a distinction to make here. For finished workshop pieces the right of withdrawal applies without restriction: fourteen days from receipt, without giving reasons. For pieces made to your specifications — dimensions, RAL colour, finish — there is no right of withdrawal once production has begun. The direct cost of return is yours; steel furniture is heavy and bulky, so we will estimate that cost on request even before you order.
