Object - Coeur

A glowing sculpture for the Commune de Lauterbourg

A heart as a sign of connection, belonging and identity.

For the Commune de Lauterbourg, this heart of roughly 2 metres in height was created as an individually made work of art. The striking geometric construction combines modern metal design with regional identity and integrates the Alsace logo directly into the composition.

After dark, the sculpture becomes a special eye-catcher: the integrated lighting makes the heart glow in an intense red light and, through the delicate cut-outs, casts a fascinating play of light and shadow on its surroundings.

A symbol for Lauterbourg and for Alsace

The heart stands for far more than a decorative sculpture.

It connects the Commune de Lauterbourg with the identity and the joy of life of Alsace. By integrating the Alsace logo, the artwork becomes a distinctive symbol with a clear regional connection.

Geometric design with a powerful effect

The construction consists of numerous precisely made metal surfaces and geometric elements.

Its three-dimensional form makes the effect of the heart change with every angle of view. By day the construction stands in the space as a modern work of metal art – by night the lighting turns the object into a glowing sculpture.

A fascinating play of light

The cut-out elements let the light escape outwards and create a unique pattern of light and shadow.

In darkness especially, this produces an impressive atmosphere that makes the heart visible from a considerable distance.

Individually made

The heart was developed and made specifically for the Commune de Lauterbourg.

From the construction through the geometric cut-outs to the integration of the regional logo, the design was tailored individually to the project.
